Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Revive mobile application (the "App"), provided by Revive ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of the App

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your region) to use the App. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

2. No Account Required

Revive does not require you to register an account. The App identifies you using an anonymous device ID (via Firebase Anonymous Authentication) so that your saved plants, diagnosis history, and reminders can be associated with your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.

3. Diagnoses and Rescue Plans

Revive lets you photograph a plant and receive an AI-generated diagnosis and step-by-step rescue plan, powered by the OpenAI API. You may also save plants to a "My Plants" collection, track their progress, and receive care reminders.

4. Subscriptions and Purchases

Revive offers a limited number of free diagnoses. Continued or unlimited use requires an auto-renewing subscription, billed through the Apple App Store and managed via RevenueCat. Subscription pricing, billing, auto-renewal, free trial, and cancellation terms are described in our Subscription Terms, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

5. AI-Generated Content and Disclaimer

Diagnoses and rescue plans are generated by artificial intelligence (via the OpenAI API) based on the photo and information you provide. This information is offered for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional horticultural, agricultural, or other expert advice.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any diagnosis or recommendation provided by the App. You are solely responsible for any decisions or actions you take based on information from the App, including actions that may affect the health of your plants.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of any photos or content you submit to the App ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and store that content — including sending it to our backend and to OpenAI — as necessary to operate and improve the App, subject to our Privacy Policy.

You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by Revive and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App except as permitted by applicable law.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Revive shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of plants, data, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the App.

11. Changes to the App or Terms

We may modify or discontinue the App, or update these Terms, at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
